With the pending retirement of the current Fire Chief, after a successful 17-year tenure, the Celina Fire Department is actively seeking a progressive, forward-thinking, and proven servant leader to step into this crucial role.  The Fire Chief is a very visible member of the senior leadership team for the City of Celina and must be a highly motivated, self-starting, servant leader who possesses excellent leadership and interpersonal dynamic skills.

Celina, with its picturesque landscape and rapidly growing population, is poised for unprecedented expansion. Located approximately 30 minutes north of Dallas, the city's current population of the service area is more than 45,000, with an estimated 378,000 population anticipated at build-out.  The City of Celina’s population has nearly tripled since 2010.  This rapid rate of growth makes Celina the fastest-growing city in north Texas.  Currently equipped with three fire stations, the Celina Fire Department anticipates the need for over 25 fire stations at city build-out, making future fire station development and community coverage a critical aspect of the Fire Chief's responsibilities. Candidates with experience in larger cities navigating similar complex environments will be highly valued.

As a full-service agency providing fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency medical services, the Celina Fire Department seeks a Fire Chief of impeccable character who embodies and practices servant leadership principles. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional relationship-building skills, both internally and externally, and prioritize the success of others over their own.
